【摘要】:Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecausecurrentestimatesofbetween-laboratoryprecisionareacceptable,andthistestmethodisusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Iftherearedifferencesofpracticalsignificancebetweentestresultsfortwolaboratories(ormore),comparativetestshouldbeperformedtodetermineifthereisastatisticalbiasbetweenthem,usingcompetentstatisticalassistance.Asaminimum,usethesamplesforsuchacomparativetestthatareashomogeneousaspossible,drawnfromthesamelotofmaterialasthesamplesthatresultedindisparateresultsduringinitialtesting.Randomlyassignthesamplesinequalnumberstoeachlaboratory.Thetestresultsfromthelaboratoriesinvolvedshouldbecomparedusingastatisticaltestforunpaireddata,ataprobabilitylevelchosenpriortothetestingseries.Ifbiasisfound,eitheritscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orfuturetestresultsforthatmaterialmustbeadjustedinconsiderationoftheknownbias.Thetrapezoidtearproducestensionalongareasonablydefinedcoursesuchthatthetearpropagatesacrossthewidthofthespecimen.Itisusefulforestimatingtherelativetearresistanceofdifferentfabricsordifferentdirectionsinthesamefabric.Dependingonthenatureofthespecimen,thedatarecordingdeviceswillshowthetearingforceintheformofapeakorpeaks.Thehighestpeaksappeartoreflectthestrengthoftheyarncomponents,individuallyorincombination,neededtostopatearinfabricsofthesameconstruction.Thevalleysrecordedbetweenthepeakshavenospecificsignificance.Theminimumtearingforce,however,isindicatedtobeabovethelowestvalleys.Mosttextilefabricscanbetestedbythistestmethod.Somemodificationofclampingtechniquesmaybenecessaryforagivenfabric,dependinguponitsstructure.Strongfabricsorfabricsmadefromglassfibersrequirespecialadaptationtopreventthemfromslippingintheclampsorbeingdamagedasaresultofbeinggrippedintheclamps.TheCRE-typeisthepreferredtensiletestingmachine.ThistestmethodallowstheuseoftheCRT-typetensilemachinewhenagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Theremaybenooverallcorrelation,however,betweentheresultsobtainedwiththeCRT-typemachineandtheCRE-typemachine.Consequently,thesetwotensiletesterscannotbeusedinterchangeablyunlessthedegreeofquantitativecorrelationhasbeenestablishedbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.Inanyevent,theCRE-typemachineshallprevail.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofthetearingstrengthoftextilefabricsbythetrapezoidprocedureusingarecordingconstant-rate-of-extension-type(CRE)tensiletestingmachine.1.1.1TheCRE-typetensiletestingmachinehasbecomethepreferredtestapparatusfordeterminingtrapezoidtearingstrength.Itisrecognizedthatsomeconstant-rate-of-traverse-type(CRT)tensiletestingmachinescontinuetobeused.Consequently,thesetestinstrumentsmaybeusedwhenagreeduponbetweenthepurchaserandthesupplier.TheconditionsforuseoftheCRT-typetensiletesterareincludedinAppendixX1.1.2Thistestmethodappliestomostfabricsincludingwovenfabrics,airbagfabrics,blankets,nappedfabrics,knittedfabrics,layeredfabrics,andpilefabrics.Thefabricsmaybeuntreated,heavilysized,coated,resin-treated,orotherwisetreated.Instructionsareprovidedfortestingspecimenswithorwithoutwetting.1.3Tearingstrength,asmeasuredinthistestmethod,requiresthatthetearbeinitiatedbeforetesting.Thereportedvalueobtainedisnotdirectlyrelatedtotheforcerequiredtoinitiateorstartatear.1.4Twocalculationsfortrapezoidtearings......
