【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsaretheproceduresofchoicefordeterminingvolatilecontentofmaterialsdesignedtobecuredbyexposuretoultravioletlightorelectronbeamirradiation.Thesetypesofmaterialscontainliquidreactantsthatreacttobecomepartofthefilmduringcure,but,whichunderthetestconditionsofTestMethodD2369,willbeerroneouslymeasuredasvolatiles.TheconditionsofthesetestmethodsaresimilartoTestMethodD2369withtheinclusionofasteptocurethematerialpriortoweightlossdetermination.Volatilecontentisdeterminedastwoseparatecomponentsx2014;processingvolatilesandpotentialvolatiles.Processingvolatilesisameasureofvolatilelossduringtheactualcureprocess.Potentialvolatilesisameasureofvolatilelossthatmightoccurduringagingorunderextremestorageconditions.Thesevolatilecontentmeasurementsareusefultotheproduceranduserofamaterialandtoenvironmentalinterestsfordeterminingemissions.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverproceduresforthedeterminationofweightpercentvolatilecontentofcoatings,inks,andadhesivesdesignedtobecuredbyexposuretoultravioletlightortoabeamofacceleratedelectrons.1.2TestMethodAisapplicabletoradiationcurablematerialsthatareessentially100%reactivebutmaycontaintraces(nomorethan3%)ofvolatilematerialsasimpuritiesorintroducedbytheinclusionofvariousadditives.1.3TestMethodBisapplicabletoallradiationcurablematerialsbutmustbeusedformaterialsthatcontainvolatilesolventsintentionallyintroducedtocontrolapplicationviscosityandwhichareintendedtoberemovedfromthematerialpriortocure.1.4Thesetestmethodsmaynotbeapplicabletoradiationcurablematerialswhereinthevolatilematerialiswater,andotherproceduresmaybesubstitutedbymutualconsentoftheproduceranduser.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Aspecifichazardstatementisgivenin15.7.
