【摘要】:Anindicationofthesusceptibilitytoinitiationoflocalizedcorrosioninthistestmethodisgivenbythepotentialatwhichtheanodiccurrentincreasesrapidly.Themorenoblethispotential,obtainedatafixedscanrateinthistest,thelesssusceptibleisthealloytoinitiationoflocalizedcorrosion.Theresultsofthistestarenotintendedtocorrelateinaquantitativemannerwiththerateofpropagationthatonemightobserveinservicewhenlocalizedcorrosionoccurs.Ingeneral,onceinitiated,localizedcorrosioncanpropagateatsomepotentialmoreelectropositivethanthatatwhichthehysteresisloopiscompleted.Inthistestmethod,thepotentialatwhichthehysteresisloopiscompletedisdeterminedatafixedscanrate.Inthesecases,themoreelectropositivethepotentialatwhichthehysteresisloopiscompletedthelesslikelyitisthatlocalizedcorrosionwilloccur.Iffollowed,thistestmethodwillprovidecyclicpotentiodynamicanodicpolarizationmeasurementsthatwillreproducedatadevelopedatothertimesinotherlaboratoriesusingthistestmethodforthetwospecifiedalloysdiscussedin3.4.Theprocedureisusedforiron-,nickel-,orcobalt-basedalloysinachlorideenvironment.Astandardpotentiodynamicpolarizationplotisincluded.Thesereferencedataarebasedontheresultsfromfivedifferentlaboratoriesthatfollowedthestandardprocedure,usingspecificalloysofType304stainlesssteel,UNSS30400andAlloyC-276,UNSN10276.Curvesareincludedwhichhavebeenconstructedusingstatisticalanalysistoindicatetheacceptablerangeofpolarizationcurves.Theavailabilityofastandardtestmethod,standardmaterial,andstandardplotsshouldmakeiteasyforaninvestigatortocheckhistechniquestoevaluatesusceptibilitytolocalizedcorrosion.1.1Thistestmethodcoversaprocedureforconductingcyclicpotentiodynamicpolarizationmeasurementstodeterminerelativesusceptibilitytolocalizedcorrosion(pittingandcrevicecorrosion)foriron-,nickel-,orcobalt-basedalloysinachlorideenvironment.Thistestmethodalsodescribesanexperimentalprocedurewhichcanbeusedtocheckone''sexperimentaltechniqueandinstrumentation.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
